After School Enrichment:  Basic Animation Class – Hercules, CA                                                                

 

Utilizing my entrepreneurial and educational skills I developed, implemented, and teach a Basic Animation class in After School Enrichment Programs to 20 Elementary Schools in the Bay Area. Researched and contacted over 200 elementary schools from all over the Bay Area to start my base. Provided leadership with coordinators to help bring this innovative class to fruition.  Conduct presentations and events promoting the class to teachers, parents, and students. Negotiate all enrollments, fees, expenses, and formalities for each school.  Manage and instruct 8 to 15 students, ranging from 3rd to 6th grade with straightforwardness and proficiency. Guide and instruct the young animators in completing an entertaining and appealing final project. The East Bay Parent Guide selected my BASIC ANIMATION class as one of the New Cool After School classes.

Advanced Character Animation Instructor - 1/2004 to 6/2005

Taught Computer Animation to undergraduate and graduate students using Maya. Revised the class curriculum, which helped improve the course while motivating the students to complete their final projects with outstanding success.  Managed 2 different classes of 20 students with great command and authority using my thorough knowledge of the animation application. Patient and considerate while providing guidance and leadership to students with issues regarding their studies and assignments.  Maintained professional interactions with administrators, teachers, and staff.

3D Computer Character Animator - 09/1997 to 04/1998

Character Animator for the hit UPN TV series VanPires. Working knowledge of Maya, Softimage XSI, 3DS Max, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Flash, as well as many other creative and animation packages.  A thorough understanding of animation principles and theory. Hand keyed animation of creating memorably dynamic character animation. Collaborate with Art Director and other animation team members to define the characters and storyline.  A highly refined ability to see and communicate the overlapping details which make a performance physically, emotionally and tonally compelling. Deliver work within performance objectives and on schedule. Attend daily review meetings and address daily feedback with the willingness to make necessary changes and accept direction.  Started out as “fix animator” and then promoted to character animator within 1 week.

Maintained accounting ledgers by posting account transactions and reconciled monthly and yearly statements.  Researched and resolved account discrepancies by thorough investigation.  Identified cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities. Traveled to on site property locations to supervise and train accounting procedures to location managers.  Computer savvy talents led to attend accounting system seminars Midwest. Prepared and filed 1099-misc for vendors paid.
